Fogarty dons famous number

First-round draft pick Darcy Fogarty will wear the prized No.32 at Adelaide.

Fogarty, 18, was snapped up by the Crows with pick No.12 in last Friday’s NAB AFL Draft.

The powerful Glenelg utility has taken over number made famous by Brownlow Medallist and former Crows captain Mark Ricciuto.

One of only four previous owners of No.32 at Adelaide, Ricciuto wore the jumper in 321 games.

Ex-Crow Patrick Dangerfield, who started his career in No.19, moved into locker No.32 in 2009.

Dangerfield wore the guernsey for seven seasons, including his Club Champion-winning year of 2015

Inaugural squad member Bruce Lindsay was the first player to wear No.32 in an AFL game for Adelaide, while Carlton recruit Troy Menzel was its most recent owner.

The guernsey has been worn for the Crows in a total of 476 AFL games.

The remaining available numbers are 23, 31, 36 and 44. Cam Ellis-Yolmen, who was re-drafted as a rookie on Monday, will retain No.28.
