The Adelaide Football Club Academy Programs took centre stage on Saturday afternoon, with the Crows Girls High Performance Squad playing a curtain-raiser game before the AFLW Round One clash between Adelaide and Brisbane at Norwood Oval.

The High Performance Squad, now in its second year, provides yet another layer of the Club's Academy model.

The program offers participants the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge, with the ultimate aim of accelerating the girls beyond their existing football talent pathways into an AFLW environment.

Four members of the inaugural 2017 squad were successful in being drafted onto AFLW lists, three of which are now Adelaide Crows.
