Gold Coast has made two changes ahead of Saturday night’s clash at Adelaide Oval.

Veteran midfielder Michael Barlow will play his first senior game of 2018 after a prolific start in the NEAFL. The former Docker, who suffered a fractured leg midway through last season, has averaged 41.5 disposals and nine clearances per game for the Suns reserves.

The Suns have also recalled young defender Max Spencer, with the Gold Coast academy product brought in to provide extra cover in the back half.

Gold Coast will be without small forward Darcy MacPherson, who suffered a fractured leg in his side’s QClash win over Brisbane on Sunday, while foundation player Michael Rischitelli has been omitted from Stuart Dew’s side.

Former Crow Jarryd Lyons will play his first Adelaide Oval game against his old side, averaging 27 disposals and 8.2 clearances per game in 2018 after five rounds.
