After missing a week through injury, midfielder Curtly Hampton has been named in Adelaide’s SANFL team to take on Norwood on Friday night.

Hampton travelled to Sydney with the AFL team last week but pulled up sore after the captains run with a tight abductor and wasn’t risked.

Given the former Giant has played over 60 AFL games, Hampton’s return to the SANFL team is a welcome one, with the State League team lacking in AFL experience.

Small forward Lachlan Murphy has also been named in the team for the first time as an AFL-listed player, after playing last year as a development squad member.

Development squad members Will Rivers and Tyson Irlam have been included in the extended squad, while Sam Venning and Aidan Offe have been omitted.

Norwood will be without their captain Jace Bode, who was found guilty by the SANFL tribunal for striking and will miss the next three games.

Adelaide’s only Friday night clash for the season will get underway at 7.20pm at Coopers Stadium.
