In wet conditions on Friday night, Adelaide had 213 contested possessions, the most registered by a team since the stat has been recorded. The previous record was 208, set by Gold Coast in Round One this year amid similar conditions in Cairns.

The Crows and Bulldogs clash was also the first game in VFL/AFL history to have over 400 contested possession in total.

Sam Jacobs had 54 hit-outs against the Dogs, the most of any player across Round Nine and the fourth most ever recorded by a Crow. Jacobs himself holds the record with 74, set in Round 8 last season.

Eddie Betts has now kicked four or more goals at Adelaide Oval 18 times, eight more than any other player. He also sits atop the all-time Adelaide Oval goalkicker table with 148.

Hugh Greenwood had 20 disposals, 10 clearances and 11 tackles on Friday night. This is the first time he has recorded 10 clearances and the sixth time he has recorded double figures in the tackle count. Of Greenwood’s 20 disposals, 19 were contested.

Greenwood also took his Adelaide Oval tackle count to 101 from just 14 games. This gives him an average of over seven tackles per game at home.

Jack Macrae collected his highest tackle count in a match, ending with 13 to go with his 10 clearances.

Bryce Gibbs finished with 10 clearances of his own, a personal-best in his time as a Crow.

Cam Ellis-Yolmen set a new personal-best for contested possessions with 21. His previous best was 19, set against Gold Coast in Round 6 this season.

The Crows and Bulldogs combined for a total of 232 tackles, the sixth highest game-total since the stat has been recorded and the highest for a game this season.

The Western Bulldogs did not record a single goal assist, only the fourth time in history for that to occur.

The Western Bulldogs kicked just two goals for the match, only the second time Adelaide have restricted a side to two or less majors. Fremantle recorded just a solitary goal against the Crows in Round 15, 2009 at Football Park.

It is also just the second time the Dogs have been held to fewer than three goals in a game. The first time was in Round 12, 1965 against the Cats.

Paul Seedsman gained another 634m on Friday night, seeing him retain top spot in the League for metres gained with 5591. He is currently 1215m ahead of Tom Mitchell in second.
