Crows players and coaches provided a special school holiday surprise for a group of kids at Westport Primary School on Monday.

The entire men’s squad attended the first day of the Kickstart for Kids school holiday camps where they handed out clothing, shoes, footballs and hygiene items to children who desperately needed them.

The items were generously donated by fans as part of a clothes drive run by the Crows Children’s Foundation at the Round 15 game against West Coast.

Watch the Crows Show on Channel 7 this Sunday at 11.30am to hear defender and Crows Children’s Foundation Board member Kyle Hartigan and Kickstart for Kids founder Ian Steel talk about the special visit.

The Kickstart for Kids school holiday camps are held for South Australia’s most at risk primary school children, at five different locations across the state. Children attend to make sure they are fed and looked after during the school holiday break.

Kickstart for Kids, which is supported by the Crows Children’s Foundation, runs breakfast, lunch, mentoring and school holiday programs in South Australian primary schools.

The Crows Children’s Foundation raises and distributes funds to support our state’s children through health, education and welfare programs.
