Assistant coach Scott Camporeale says Rory Sloane has not suffered another serious foot injury after having his foot stood on during the five-point win against Brisbane on Saturday.

Sloane played the opening four games before suffering a strained Lisfranc ligament and sitting on the sidelines until Round 14.

He has not shown any signs of injury since returning and Camporeale says there was no impact to Sloane’s game yesterday.

“As far as I know, he got trod on and played the rest of the game out, so I don’t see what the issue is,” Camporeale said.

“If you’ve been trod on with footy boots, I dare say you’d have a pretty sore foot.

“We’ll wait and see by the end of the week, but as far as I know he’s okay.

Tom Doedee and Lachlan Murphy will have to pass concussion tests during the week ahead of Saturday night’s clash with Melbourne while Camporeale says Brodie Smith is a chance to return but will not be rushed into the squad.

“He got through the game really well and he’s an important player for us,” Camporeale said.

“But we’ll see. We’ll make the right call for Brodie.”
