Eddie Betts celebrated a number of milestones in 2018, including reaching 100 games for Adelaide and witnessing the birth of his twin girls just hours before taking the field.

By his own lofty standards, the three-time All Australian was quieter this season with just 29 goals but showcased his star quality on a number of occasions.

After watching the birth of his baby girls on Facetime earlier that day, he booted three goals from 16 disposals and six marks to help the Crows to a 49-point win over St Kilda in Round Three.

His high-flying Mark of the Year contender saw him secure the four points for the Crows.

Eddie starred in his 100th game for the Crows, kicking four goals to mark the milestone in Adelaide’s 37-point victory over the Dogs.

He defied the dreadful conditions to collect 15 disposals and three inside 50s in his best performance of the season.

Post-match, coach Don Pyke said although Eddie had been playing great football for the side all year, it was great to see him really hit the scoreboard.

“He had a great night, you could tell from early on he had some real energy and spark about him,” he said.
