Round 13 v Hawthorn, MCG

Seven goals to Hawthorn in the third term saw the Hawks charge to a dominant 56-point win at the MCG.

Six goals were kicked up until half time, with the Crows managing just one more major in the second half as the Hawks won the inside 50 count by 26.

SEASON REVIEW: Jake Kelly

Adelaide played out a scoreless third term, the seventh ever time the Club has failed to score in a quarter and for the first time since 2011, the Crows had recorded four consecutive losses.

Ruckman Sam Jacobs (two goals) competed well against Ben McEvoy, Jake Kelly (23 disposals) was clean in defence with 10 marks, Matt Crouch (30) and Bryce Gibbs (28) played lone hands in the midfield.

Round 15 v West Coast, Adelaide Oval

Adelaide’s dramatic fourth-quarter comeback earned a 10-point win over West Coast after trailing by 27 points late in the game.

A goal to Scott Lycett 23 minutes into the third term had the Eagles up by 27 and Adelaide with a mountain to climb before Taylor Walker kept the Crows alive with a goal shortly before the siren.

Walker kicked two more goals early in the fourth before Hugh Greenwood’s major had the Crows in front midway through the quarter.

West Coast staged a late rally but could not reel Adelaide back as the home side claimed the points.

SEASON REVIEW: Taylor Walker

Walker finished with three goals, all in the second half, Matt Crouch had 32 disposals and Sam Jacobs crucially won a thrilling ruck contest against Nic Naitanui and Scott Lycett.

The return of Rory Laird (43 disposals, six rebound 50s) and Rory Sloane (27 disposals, 17 contested possessions, eight clearances, seven tackles) provided a huge impact for the home side.

Round 16 v Richmond, MCG

Adelaide struggled under immense pressure from the Tigers at the MCG, going down by 47 points in their second encounter for the year.

A close start was followed by a three-goal burst in the second quarter which saw Richmond establish a 22-point lead at the main break.

There were just two goals in it at three quarter time but Richmond came out firing in the fourth, claiming a five-goal start.

SEASON REVIEW: Rory Sloane

The Crows struggled to string consecutive goals together against the defending Premiers and finished with just the one goal in the last quarter.

Good signs came from Rory Sloane (31 disposals), defender Tom Doedee (27 and eight marks) and Rory Laird (35).

Matt Crouch (38) had a game-high tally and Josh Jenkins held strong in the forward line to boot three goals.
