Co-captain Chelsea Randall is set to provide a major boost to Adelaide’s Round Three side after being named in the Crows’ extended squad of 23.

The half-back was a late withdrawal in the Crows’ Round Two victory over Carlton after experiencing hamstring tightness.

Coach Matthew Clarke said Randall had progressed well throughout the week.

“She’s still got to get through one more session, but provided she gets through that we’re confident she’ll show up on Sunday and play a good game,” he said.

After missing out on Round Two due to finals commitments with W-League side Brisbane Roar, cross-code athlete Jenna McCormick has also been named in the squad, alongside midfielder Sally Riley.

Defender Maisie Nankivell will be managed in Round Three and will miss the game.

Adelaide’s final team will be announced at 1.30pm ACDT on Friday.

The Crows will face newcomers Geelong at Norwood Oval on Sunday.

Entry to Norwood Oval is free and the first bounce is at 2.05pm ACDT.
