Adelaide and Carlton have met 36 times, with the ledger level at 18 wins each.

The Crows have won the last three clashes by an average margin of 27 points.

The Blues have not travelled to Adelaide to play the Crows since Round Four 2010, with the last seven meetings all taking place in Melbourne.

On that day, Andrew McLeod and Tyson Edwards were in Adelaide’s best with 26 and 25 touches respectively, while Andrew Walker and Chris Judd dominated for the visitors, recording 36 and 30 disposals.

Of the 22 Crows who played in that game, only Richard Douglas, David Mackay and Taylor Walker remain at the Club.

On Saturday night, Crows recruit Bryce Gibbs will play against his former club for the first time.

Carlton has played on Adelaide Oval just twice both resulting in losses to Port Adelaide.

Adelaide and Carlton have never met in Round Seven of a season.

The Blues hope to regain ruckman Matthew Kreuzer for the contest, and despite a career spanning 164 AFL games, this would be his first time running out onto Adelaide Oval. Experienced onballer Dale Thomas is also set to play his maiden game at the venue.

Two former Crows could line up for the Blues on Saturday night. Matthew Wright kicked 63 goals in his 94 games with Adelaide, and already has 61 from 50 games in the navy blue. Midfielder Sam Kerridge has faced the Crows twice since moving to Carlton and averages 23 disposals and five tackles. Both are yet to experience a victory against their old side.

Of the Carlton team that played the Western Bulldogs last week, only Wright, Kerridge and fellow former South Australian-based player Cam O’Shea have played in a win at Adelaide Oval.

Adelaide and Carlton have the same amount of clearances so far this season (218), with the Crows turning 27 of those into goals (ranked sixth in the AFL) and the Blues managing 23 from their clearances (ranked 14th in the AFL).

Acting Carlton captain Patrick Cripps ranks second in the AFL for clearances (50) and first for contested possessions (113).

Cripps had a round-high 24 contested possessions in Round Six, and his effort of 12 clearances was only beaten by Sydney’s Josh Kennedy (13).

Crows wingman Paul Seedsman has gained the most metres of any AFL player this season (3868m), while Blues veteran Kade Simpson sits third (3,130m)

Carlton has kicked long the least of any AFL team this season (466) and rank 16th for total effective kicks (63 per cent).

The Blues rank last in the AFL for intercepts (382) and have conceded 58 goals from turnovers. Only the Western Bulldogs have given up more (61). 

The Crows rank equal-first for percentage of time in front so far this season (66 per cent).

Tony Modra holds the record for the most goals in this fixture, kicking 13 in the opening round of the 1994 season. Craig Bradley and Nathan van Berlo share the disposal record, collecting 40 touches in 1997 and 2008 respectively
