Jacob Milbank has worked at the Adelaide Football Club in the role of Football Services Assistant for the past eight seasons.

Jacob has Down Syndrome and first joined the Crows when Neil Craig was coach and an ambassador for Foundation 21.

At first he was too shy to even walk into the same room as players but now he is out there giving motivational speeches, and this week on Footy Plus we chat to Jacob and his best friend, Tex Walker.

“His transformation into a young man has been unbelievable and one that I’ve really enjoyed being a part of,” Walker said.

“Jacob and I have been good mates for a long time.

“He tells me he’s a legend of the footy club and if he wasn’t here the footy club probably wouldn’t turn.”

Also on the show, SA State Under-18 coach Tony Bamford speaks about the Championship winning crop of junior players in this year’s State Championship heading into a draft that has been dubbed the best since the 2001 ‘super draft’.

We see how much our SA Redbacks cricketers know about cricket when we test their knowledge with our laws of the game quiz.

Belinda Sloane catches up with Sydney Swans Norm Smith Medallist & Crows SANFL Coach, Ryan O’Keefe, to talk about his love of cycling.

Footy Plus air Friday night at 10.45PM, straight after the Adelaide v Richmond clash on 7, 7HD and on-demand on 7plus.
