Adelaide has three players included in the AFL’s Team of the Week for the second round in a row.

Ruckman Sam Jacobs starred in the Club’s comeback win over Hawthorn.

Jacobs had 43 hit-outs, won four clearances and kicked a goal from his 15 possessions. He also claimed six contested marks and was crucial in Adelaide’s second-half fightback.

‘Sauce’ was a clear choice as the starting ruckman in the Round Two Team of the Week.

Courageous Crow Rory Sloane was also crucial in Adelaide’s resurgence at the MCG.

After a slower start by his lofty standards, Sloane worked his way into the contest to finish with 25 possessions, a match-high eight clearances, six marks and a goal. The Crows vice-captain also laid a Club-record 15 tackles.

Sloane was selected as the rover in the AFL’s Team of the Week.

Sauce scores perfect 10

Dual All Australian Daniel Talia also earned his first appearance in the team following his strong performance against the Hawks.

Talia held Hawthorn captain Jarryd Roughead to two goals but also created plenty of offence himself, collecting 20 possessions and creating four rebound 50ms.

The 25-year-old also claimed five intercept marks, had a round-high 14 intercept possessions and a match-high eight one-percenters.

He was named at centre-half back in the AFL’s Round Two Team of the Week.

Greater Western Sydney had four players included in this week’s team. Adelaide was the next-best represented club with three, ahead of North Melbourne, West Coast, Geelong, Port Adelaide, Essendon and the Western Bulldogs with two players apiece. Richmond, Melbourne and Sydney all had one player feature.
