Crows fans have doubled-down on Showdown Medallist Sam Jacobs, naming him the Hertz Fans’ Most Valuable Player for Round 20.

'Sauce' edged out Port Adelaide’s Paddy Ryder to win the ruck battle on Sunday evening, recording 42 hit-outs, laying six tackles and kicking two goals to claim the Showdown Medal for the third time in his career.

Jacobs, 29, provided great supply to Adelaide's midfield and was aptly rewarded, with over a third of all votes for Showdown XLIII going his way. He's now consolidated his position in fourth place on the overall leaderboard with 170 votes and is well on his way to bridging the gap to third-placed Matt Crouch.

Taylor Walker was adjudged Adelaide's second-best Showdown performer with 17 votes. His three-goal performance went with a game-high eight marks and two goal assists in Adelaide's 84-point win over the Power.

Onballer Rory Sloane placed third with 16 per cent of all votes for a dominant contested game which featured 30 disposals, 10 inside 50ms and nine clearances.

The hard-at-it midfielder strengthened his lead at the top of the Hertz Fans' MVP table, now sitting pretty on 306 votes. He holds a hefty 75-vote lead over Rory Laird, who remains in second place on 231 votes.

Brad Crouch, Matt Crouch and Eddie Betts were next in line and all recieved minor votes in Round 20.

While Sloane may have all-but locked up first place, just five votes seperate second and third - making your votes in the final rounds more important than ever.

Fans can login or register here to vote for their three top Crows after every game of the 2017 season.

One lucky participant after each round will claim a signed Hertz Crows football, courtesy of the Club’s official match ball partner, simply by voting.

Polls opens immediately after every Crows game. Users assign three votes to the player they deem Adelaide’s best contributor, two to the second-best and one vote for their third most valuable Crow in each match.

Polling closes on Tuesday at 4.30pm (SA time) after each round when the final votes are collated using a points system.

A maximum of 100 points per game can be awarded to the entire team. Each player is given a percentage of the total votes received to go towards their season tally (For example, if 1,200 votes were placed in Round One and Taylor Walker receives 600 then that is the equivalent of 50 per cent of all votes for that round and he would receive 50 points towards his season tally. If the second-best player received 120 votes from 1,200 then that is the equivalent of 10 per cent and he will get 10 votes towards the season tally).

This process is repeated each round and players accumulate points towards their season tally. The player at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the season is crowned the Hertz Crows Fans’ MVP.

Don’t forget, Crows fans can take advantage of 20 per cent off selected car rentals courtesy of Club partner Hertz. Click here for more information.
