Midfielder Rory Sloane has been named in his third consecutive AFL Media Team of the Week, continuing his outstanding start to the season in Adelaide’s 65-point win over Essendon.

Sloane is rated one of the early season Brownlow Medal favourites and will surely be in calculations for umpires votes for a performance that included 34 disposals (16 contested), eight clearances, nine tackles, eight inside 50s and a pair of goals.

Taylor Walker (five goals) and Coleman Medal leader Eddie Betts (six goals) were both named in the team’s forward line, marking the fourth week of the season the Crows have had three representatives in the Team of the Week, the equal highest this week alongside Greater Western Sydney and Geelong.

Defender Rory Laird was an unlucky omission, missing out despite his 36 disposals at over 80 per cent efficiency.
