Troy Menzel has been recalled to Adelaide’s team to play Essendon on Easter Saturday night.

Menzel replaces Mitch McGovern, who seriously injured his hamstring in Showdown XLII last weekend.

The Club is still gathering information to determine whether McGovern requires surgery. An approximate timeframe for the exciting forward’s return will be provided after specialist consultation.

Menzel, 22, made his long-awaited Crows debut against Greater Western Sydney in Round One.

The classy Carlton recruit collected 14 possessions and kicked a goal in the season opener, but was squeezed out of the side to make way for captain Taylor Walker the following week.

Draftee Jordan Gallucci has been named as an emergency for the first time, alongside ruckman Reilly O’Brien and forward Jono Beech, who was elevated from the rookie list on Thursday.

Limited tickets remain for Saturday night’s clash, which starts at 7:10pm. Gates open at 5pm.
