A number of Demons have pressed their case for selection for Saturday’s clash with Adelaide following strong performances for Casey in a VFL practice match.

Midfielder Viv Michie was the best player for the Scorpions in the side’s 91-point win over Werribee last weekend. The former Docker collected 25 possessions and kicked three goals which could bring him in line for his first AFL appearance of the season.

Former captain Jack Grimes (30 disposals, one goal), Matt Jones (29 touches) and Jimmy Toumpas (29 touches, two goals) were also impressive in Casey’s big win.

Jay Kennedy-Harris, who was dropped to make way for key forward Chris Dawes after the club's victory over Gold Coast, will be considered if the Demons decide they need more run.

Melbourne coach Paul Roos has already said he is unlikely to make “wholesale changes” to the side that lost to Greater Western Sydney by 45 points in Round Two.
