THE SYDNEY Swans will be forced to make at least two changes for next week's semi final against Adelaide with Kurt Tippett and Callum Mills both ruled out.

Scans on Sunday revealed Tippett suffered a non-displaced, hairline fracture in his jaw following a first-quarter collision with Greater Western Sydney pair Shane Mumford and Callan Ward.

Tippett was also left dazed after a crunching tackle from Mumford in the second term, but played out the game despite the injury.

The club said he will consult a specialist on Monday to determine the best course of action, but will definitely miss the cut-throat semi final against the Crows.

The club also confirmed NAB AFL Rising Star Callum Mills suffered a low-grade hamstring strain, but did not specify how long he will miss.

Ruckman Toby Nankervis appears set to come in after he was withdrawn from the club's NEAFL Grand Final on Sunday.

Jeremy Laidler was also pulled out of the NEAFL decider against the Giants on Sunday in a sign he is the most likely replacement for Mills.

The Swans also copped some bad luck in the NEAFL Grand Final, with attacking defender Zak Jones stretchered from the ground after being knocked out in an accidental head clash.

Jones was one of his team's better players before he collided with Giants forward Sam Reid in the final quarter of the match, which the Swans lost to the Giants by four points.
