Lions midfielder Dayne Beams is likely to overcome a shoulder concern and take his place against Adelaide on Saturday at the Gabba.

Beams was cleared of any serious injury after jarring his shoulder in a contest during Brisbane’s loss to the Western Bulldogs last weekend.

The former Magpie leads his new club for average disposals per game this season at 28 possessions per match.

Teammate Nick Robertson will miss the Round 13 clash with the Crows with a strained AC joint.

Robertson was taken off in great pain during the first quarter of Saturday night's loss to the Bulldogs, but scans at least cleared the young Lion of any serious structural damage.

"No structure damage. Grade 2 strain on the AC joint," Robertson tweeted. "No surgery needed. Will miss 2 weeks of footy."

Key defender Daniel Merrett (hamstring) is expected to return from a 12-week absence in the NEAFL this weekend, while captain Tom Rockliff (ribs) will spend another fortnight on the sidelines.
