Port Adelaide is hoping Hamish Hartlett will overcome an ankle concern and be fit to play in Balfours Showdown XXXVII against the Crows on Sunday.

Veteran Dom Cassisi (knee) and defender Jarman Impey, who reported soreness during the week, will also be assessed in the lead up to the Round 15 clash at Adelaide Oval.

The Power reported no new injuries from the club’s 72-point win over the Bulldogs.

Port Adelaide’s head of high performance Darren Burgess says Port was confident the trio would recover in time for Sunday’s Showdown.

“We’re reasonably confident all three will be fit to play, but obviously with Hamish we want to make sure that ankle is 100% ready to go,” Burgess said.

“We just need to be careful we don’t bring him back sooner than we should. That said, we think if he gets through fine this week he’ll be free for selection.”

Paul Stewart is still a week away from returning from a minor knee injury, while Cameron Hitchcock and Andrew Moore remain a fortnight away from returns.
