Friday, March 28
Crows confident in key duo

Coach Brenton Sanderson said Richard Douglas and Brent Reilly couldn't be better prepared for their AFL returns. Reilly will play his first game in almost eight months on Saturday when the Crows meet Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Reilly's teammate Richard Douglas, who had surgery three weeks ago to stop bleeding in his groin, will also return to action in the Showdown.

‘Something’ in the Showdowns: Sando
In the end, it’s still worth fourth premiership points but Crows coach Brenton Sanderson admitted there’s “something” in the Showdown contests that makes the games extra special.

Thursday, March 27
Experienced pair recalled for Balfours Showdown

At selection, the Crows included Richard Douglas and Brent Reilly in the team to play Port Adelaide. Reilly returns for his first AFL game since Round 14 last season, while Douglas sat out the season-opener because of a groin complaint.

SANFL squad prepares for final pre-season hit-out
The Crows also named their squad for the SANFL trial match against South Adelaide on Friday night.

Independence Day
In a historic move, the Adelaide Football Club took control of its AFL licence, ending a 24-year association with the SANFL.

Wednesday, March 26
Defender suspended from Showdown
Kyle Hartigan was unsuccessful in his appeal against a one-match suspension at the SANFL tribunal.

Podcast hits the airwaves
Hosts Patrick Dangerfield and Tom Lynch talked Showdown and revealed why Josh Jenkins is in Taylor Walker’s bad books in the Round Two ‘People’s Podcast.

Small forward and fan favourite Matthew Bode talked about being on both sides of the Showdown rivalry, and told how his trademark spiky blonde hair landed him in trouble during his playing days.
