Adelaide’s new-look forward line will be amongst the most exciting and dynamic in the competition, according to boom recruit Eddie Betts.

The Crows acquired ex-Blue Betts and James Podsiadly from Geelong during the offseason in an effort to add more firepower up forward, following major injuries to Taylor Walker and Josh Jenkins last year.

With Jenkins back to full fitness and Walker inching closer towards a return, Betts says the Crows are well-positioned with an impressive list of match-winning forwards entering the new season.

“It’s really exciting,” Betts said.

“You’ve got J-Pod coming across from Geelong, Tex Walker when he gets back, myself down there, Pup [Jared Petrenko], Joshy Jenkins, [and] Dangerfield.

“When you put Dangerfield one out in the forward 50, [which is] what he loves, no one can stop him.”

The 27-year-old small forward has settled in perfectly since crossing from Carlton at the end of last year, snaring five goals in his first appearance with the Crows in the Club’s opening NAB Challenge match.

Betts also took six marks and laid two tackles against Port Adelaide, but it was Betts’ ability to bring his teammates into the game that was most impressive.

"I'm all about sharing it around,” Betts said.

“At Carlton I loved to share the ball around and kick goals so if a guy's in a better position, I'll give it to him.

“I'm all about tackling and putting pressure on and doing all the little things and then the goals will come.”

After missing Adelaide’s 38-point victory over his former club Carlton, Betts will line up for the Crows in a trial match against the Giants on Friday afternoon at Blacktown. It will be the Club’s final pre-season hit out before the Crows’ Round One opener against Geelong on March 20.

Fans can tune in to afc.com.au from 1:30pm local time on Friday to watch a live stream of the trial.

Betts said the players were raring to go with the premiership season just around the corner.

“Hopefully we’ll have another big year this year, and hopefully we’ll play some finals.”

“We are ready to go, and ready to play.”
