Promising Crow Brodie Martin will miss a month with an ankle injury.

Martin, 24, injured his ankle playing for SANFL club Sturt a fortnight ago, and subsequent scans revealed ligament damage. Forward Lewis Johnston has upped the ante in his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury, but is still about three weeks from a return.

In better news, livewire Jared Petrenko is a chance to play against Gold Coast on Saturday. Petrenko sprained his right AC joint in Adelaide’s loss to Sydney in Round 11. He’ll need to prove his fitness at training. Defender Brent Reilly was unable to play for Sturt on Saturday because of back soreness, but is expected to train fully this week.
