Shaun McKernan is available for selection against Fremantle after serving a two-week ban for striking, but Patrick Dangerfield remains unlikely to play because of a shoulder injury.

McKernan was banned for making high contact with West Coast midfielder Brad Sheppard in Adelaide’s Round 15 loss to the Eagles. Despite the undisciplined act, the match was arguably McKernan’s best in Crows colours.

Dangerfield, who sprained his right AC joint against Collingwood in Round 16, sat out Adelaide’s thrilling win over Geelong at AAMI Stadium on Sunday. His injury was assessed as having an expected recovery time of anywhere between 1-4 weeks.

Young midfielder Nick Joyce will be assessed after injuring his shoulder playing for Woodville-West Torrens on the weekend. Rookie-listed forward Tim McIntyre made a successful return from a hamstring complaint with Sturt.
