2005 draftees Bernie Vince and Richard Douglas were the stand-out performers among the Crows in the SANFL on the weekend.

Vince kicked the matchwinning goal for Woodville-West Torrens against Norwood at Adelaide Oval after one of his most consistent efforts at league level.

Playing in the centre and at half-forward, Vince had 27 possessions and kicked 3.2. He also played well early in the game when the opposition (Norwood) was dominant and was named the club’s SANFL Player of the Week.

Douglas continued to impress at Glenelg, winning 19 possessions and booting two goals as a small forward/midfielder. His work ethic and energy has been extremely pleasing for a young player.

Norwood ruckman John Meesen had a tough day against Eagles big man Paul Lindsay but should have learnt a fair deal from the experience.

Port Magpies (Scott Stevens, Ivan Maric) had a bye. Jason Porplyzia travelled to the Gold Coast as the emergency while Chad Gibson (Norwood) had a virus.
