Adelaide captain Simon Goodwin qualifies for automatic AFL Life Membership against St Kilda on Saturday night.

It will be Goodwin’s 300th official game since his AFL debut in 1997. He has played 268 AFL premiership matches, 26 pre-season games, two State-of-Origin matches and three International Rules matches.

Goodwin, 33, was drafted by the Crows in the 1996 pre-season draft. He played in both the 1997 and ’98 premierships, has won three club champion awards (2000, 2005, 2006), has been named in five All Australian teams (2000, 2001, 2005, 2006 and 2009) and has been captain since 2008.
