Players from the Crows and Power will take on lunchtime shoppers in a handball competition in the Rundle Mall on Tuesday ahead of the Balfours Showdown on Saturday.

From 12.30pm near Myers shoppers will get the opportunity to compete against Crows players Nathan van Berlo and Bernie Vince and Power players Danyle Pearce and Nathan Krakouer.

A giant donut will be set up with members of the public getting the opportunity to handball a football through the donut against one of the Power or Crows players.

Each contestant will win a donut and those who manage to beat one of the AFL players will receive a pack of six in either Crows or Power colours.

Balfours Chief Executive Officer, Mr David Crotti, said that as the major sponsor for the Showdown, Balfours was delighted to help raise awareness for the match.

“We are hoping to see a full house at AAMI Stadium on Saturday,” he said.
