On November 1, 2012 the Crows welcomed one of Australia’s premier golfing facilities as the official Golf Club of the AFC for the 2013 season.

The Glenelg Golf Club (GGC) is a world class golf course with the very best member’s facilities, while also offering packages for corporate businesses seeking to entertain staff and clients.

The Crows are proud to announce the partnership and hope to build a strong working relationship by linking the two brands together.

General Manager of GGC David Brand describes why they chose to partner with the Crows.

“We are delighted to commence a partnership with the Club for all South Australians," he said.

“We see a great synergy with the Adelaide Football Club who provide a first class facility and experience for players, members and supporters, in line with our own reputation as one of Australia’s premier golfing facilities.

“This is a great opportunity for us to promote our facility to members, supporters and corporate affiliates of Adelaide Football Club.  The partnership gives us to ability to do so, in addition to aligning us with a strong South Australian brand.”

Mr Brand hopes to demonstrate their offering in the corporate market, of both individual and company needs.

“We expect to see a great response to this partnership and will be promoting our facility to the fellow corporate affiliates of the Adelaide Football Club," he said.

"This is a market which we cater for very well and hope to expand on this through our new partnership."

The two Clubs will toast the partnership in early 2013 with the annual Crows Golf day to be held at GGC in February.

Mr Brand said: “Members will get the opportunity to showcase their world class course and facility and it will be great to have the media, players, staff and supporters at the Club as a part of the Golf Day”.

Ambassador for the club is none other than golf enthusiast, recreational player and Senior Coach Brenton Sanderson.

“Playing golf and coaching go hand in hand.  Coaching is intense and stressful and I use golf as a great way to switch off and relax.

“The course and facilities at Glenelg (Golf Club) are outstanding and I have enjoyed many games there in the off season.  I hope others come down and check it out,” he said.

Mr Brand is pleased to announce Brenton as the Ambassador.

“Brenton has been a great coup for the Adelaide Football Club and South Australian Football in general.  His level of professionalism is second to none and we (GGC) are delighted to establish a relationship with Brenton as our Ambassador.”

The Crows will also be holding a weekend golf trip in late June, flying to the Gold Coast for four days of golf and football.  For more information on the upcoming golf day or trip, please contact Mark McGill at AFC on 8440 6666.
