Stats that matter
The Crows were the last team to beat Fremantle - by 18 points at AAMI Stadium in Round 20. It’s the only match the Dockers have lost in their past 10 outings.

Fremantle skipper Matthew Pavlich has kicked 68 goals this year, including six in a dominant display against Geelong last weekend. Daniel Talia held Pavlich to two goals when the Crows and Dockers met in Round 20.

The Dockers laid 77 tackles in their Elimination Final win over the Cats. The Crows only laid 50 in their 29-point loss to the Swans.

Adelaide and Fremantle have previously only met once in the finals in the second Qualifying Final of 2006. On that day, the Crows won by 30 points to advance directly to a home Preliminary Final. The Dockers have played in a total of seven finals.

The Dockers have conceded an average of only 11.1 goals a game this season - second only to Sydney (10.4). Adelaide was able to break the shackles in Round 20, generating 34 scoring shots - the equal-most (with Hawthorn) against Fremantle in 2012. Fremantle has also conceded the fewest opposition marks inside 50m, allowing an average of only 8.3 per match.

Adelaide’s score of 5.12 (42) against Sydney was the Club’s lowest of the season.

Matthew Wright gathered a career-best 37 possessions and two goals in the Crows’ win over the Dockers last month, while Taylor Walker top scored with four majors.

Freo has ‘achieved nothing’: Lyon - AFL.com.au
FREMANTLE'S third finals win in the club's 18-year history was undoubtedly its best. The seventh-placed Fremantle faced one of football's biggest tasks - an in-form Geelong at the MCG in the first week of the finals. Many had tipped the Cats to be the genuine premiership contender outside the top four but Fremantle put paid to that idea with the first seven goals of the game. It was a watershed moment for Fremantle and for coach Ross Lyon who couldn't have arrived at his new club with any more scrutiny and pressure.

Pavlich pulls up well - News.com.au
Pavlich, who starred with six goals in the win, said he had pulled up well after receiving treatment on his Achilles late in the game. "I copped a knock on it later in the game, but I'm really pleased with how it's pulled up ... and pleased we'll be able to go this week and train again," Pavlich said.
