Time is running out to share the pride at Adelaide's 2006 club champion dinner.Join the players on Friday, October 6, at the Adelaide Convention Centre and find out who wins this year's gold jacket and Malcolm Blight Medal. For the first time, Crows supporters will be able to attend the club champion dinner. All the players, coaches and staff will be there, so come and share the pride.Tickets are $130 each (including GST), and included in the package is a three course meal complemented by selected Hardy’s Wines, Foster’s Australia beers and Coca-Cola soft drinks. After enjoying the formalities, you can let down your hair and dance the night away to the melodies of ‘Cabernet Cabaret’.Previous winners of this prestigious award include ruckman Shaun Rehn, inaugural captain Chris McDermott and current superstars Andrew McLeod, Mark Ricciuto and Simon Goodwin. This year, guessing who will be the Crows Club Champion is difficult - the Crows’ ability to spread the workload has been one of its best traits in 2006.Dual winner Goodwin has been among the favourites for the Brownlow Medal for most of 2006, and will surely poll highly at club level.Tyson Edwards has consistently polled well throughout his career, and this year will be no exception with the midfielder featuring among the best players most weeks. Defenders Nathan Bassett and Graham Johncock have had their best seasons at the club and will certainly be rated highly on a week by week basis.Other awards will also be presented on the night, including the Best Team Man Award, Members Most Valuable Player and the M.A Bickley Award recognising a first or second year player’s achievements on and off the field. Those interested in purchasing tickets to the Crows Club Champion Presentation Dinner should contact Michelle Behrendt on (08) 8440 6642 or via email mbehrendt@afc.com.au
