Update: Adelaide forward Kurt Tippett has been ruled out of Saturday night's season opener against Hawthorn.
Tippett had a light work-out to test his ankle on Sunday but Club medical staff this morning decided not to risk him this week.
He is back in a "moon boot" and is now aiming to be available for Adelaide's second game, the round three home match against Fremantle on April 9.
Tippett strained his right ankle early in the NAB Challenge game against Carlton on March 4.
The Crows are waiting to see how Ricky Henderson responds to treatment for “corkies” suffered on Saturday when he played for Central District in an SANFL trial. It was also his first game since the Carlton trial.
Henderson was one of 17 Crows who played in the SANFL on the weekend. Will Young broke a finger but expects to be cleared to play this weekend.
Ruckman Sam Jacobs (hamstring) will probably miss two more weeks before he is available and Jared Petrenko (abdomen) won’t play this week.
Adelaide has a football session under lights on AAMI Stadium on Tuesday night, from about 7pm. The week’s other main football session (on Thursday) is closed but Saturday’s squad will have a light run on Friday from about 9.30am.
