Several of Adelaide’s young guns delivered standout Dream Team performances in Showdown XXXV.

On the eve of Dream Team finals, Mitch Grigg and Lewis Johnston should be considered as trade-down targets, so you can upgrade and fill any remaining holes in your team.

Top-five point scorers
Matthew Wright 107
Brad Crouch 106
David Mackay 104
Lewis Johnston 98
Patrick Dangerfield 98

Wright
The midfielder/forward posted his first ton (107) since Round Seven. He topped Adelaide’s DT scoring in the Showdown, collecting 22 possessions and two goals for a total of 107 points. Wright is coming into solid form, averaging 89.3 points in the past three rounds.

Crouch
Crouch is the second-most improved player in the Dream Team competition, having increased $302,700 in value since his debut in Round Two. The Rising Star nominee has averaged more possessions than any other Crow since the mid-season bye and is averaging 88.7 DT points. He appears to be improving with each game at senior level.

Mackay
D-Mac has put together three solid Dream Team performances (80, 94 and 104) in the past three rounds. His 20 disposals and career-high eight tackles against Port Adelaide was the highlight of his season to-date. Mackay’s confidence is building, with his trademark run and carry making a return on Sunday.

Johnston
Johnston put on an outstanding performance in his first senior game for season 2013, collecting 17 disposals, seven marks and bagging 4.1. Priced at just $140,100 he could be a real cash-cow option in your forward line.

Dangerfield
Returned from a shoulder injury against Port Adelaide, and put in a characteristic performance playing predominantly as a forward. Danger’s DT ranking has slipped after his two-game lay-off, but he’s still averaging 98.50 points per game.

Super Sub
Injected into the game at the 18 minute-mark of the third quarter, midfielder Mitch Grigg was super impressive, collecting 15 possessions and a goal to post a Dream Team score of 58 points. On the back of this performance, Grigg could be in line for increased game time, which should see the 20-year-old produce some higher DT numbers. His price ($108,500) is set to jump after his next (third) game, so don’t hesitate to bring him into your team.
