Tom Lynch was among the AFL’s top 10 Fantasy scorers for Round 21 following a terrific performance against Brisbane at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.

Lynch amassed a career-best 32 possessions, nine marks and five tackles during the Crows’ big win over the Lions to post a season-high 127 Fantasy points. He was the equal-10th ranked Fantasy player for the round overall as well as the sixth most valuable forward in the competition.

Lynch’s total was the second-highest of his career, behind ‘that game’ against GWS in 2013 when he slotted ten goals on his way to an incredible 165.

His latest effort lifted his five-game average to 99 points and could see Lynch sneak into a few teams late ahead of Fantasy preliminary finals this weekend.

Tough midfielder Rory Sloane has hit a Fantasy purple patch after a difficult mid-season run interrupted by injury.

Sloane amassed 26 disposals, seven marks, four tackles and kicked a goal against the Lions for a strong score of 117. It’s his second ton in a row, with Sloane’s three-game average now up to a healthy 115 points per match.

The 2013 Club Champion, who was Adelaide’s leading Fantasy scorer last year, started the season in a blaze of glory with three triple-figure totals through the opening three rounds. If Sloane can recapture that form and continue his recent resurgence, he could prove a shrewd selection for coaches looking for that extra edge in Fantasy finals.

Three other Crows joined Lynch and Sloane in the 100-plus club last round.

It was a strong weekend for ruckmen, with Sam Jacobs’ 111 only good enough for equal-fifth amongst all big men in the League.

Sauce has been a reliable ‘set and forget’ option all season. His average sits at a healthy 97 points per game with 11 scores above the 100-point milestone – including the last three on the bounce.

Taylor Walker’s seven-goal bag helped the captain to his second ton in three outings. Tex’s 110 was the seventh highest score by a genuine forward for Round 21.

Defender Rory Laird was the final Crow to crack three figures with an even 100 from 26 possessions, nine marks and two tackles for his seventh Fantasy ton since Round Nine.

The former rookie is ranked No.9 for average points scored by a backman this season, but could finish the year inside the top five or six if his incredible run of form continues. Expect his Fantasy popularity to soar next season.

Fellow defender Ricky Henderson has improved his Fantasy output in recent weeks. He recorded a 93 against Brisbane to go with a 102 from Round 19 against the Tigers.

Youngsters Matt Crouch (92) and Rory Atkins (91) also impressed. Crouch’s score equalled his second-best total for the year, while Atkins’ total was the highest of his young career and included an AFL Goal of the Year contender.
