1. Five out of Six

Hinge is one if six children in his family and has three brothers and two sisters. He is the second youngest.

2. Hentschel fan

Mitch grew up a Crows fan and particularly enjoyed watching Trent Hentschel.

3. Absolutely Ablett

Once he really started embracing his footy, Hinge found it hard to go past Gary Ablett Jnr for his all-time favourite. 

4. Tiger Cub

Mitch grew up in country South Australia, playing junior footy for the Mundulla Tigers.

From Year 10, Hinge boarded at Sacred Heart College in Adelaide.

6. Exciting future

Mitch revealed one of the key reasons that drew him to Adelaide was a combination of experienced, senior players alongside a young core coming through the ranks. 

7. Yet another NBA fan

Hinge is another new Crow who greatly enjoys a bit of basketball. His favourite player is LeBron James.

8. Business if not footy

If not for his football career, the 22-year-old would have looked to study business at university.

9. Jetsetter

Hinge enjoyed a lengthy trip abroad at the end of 2019 with his former Lions teammates, with highlights including Budapest, London and Berlin.

10. Plenty of flags

The SA boys' trophy cabinet is already looking full. Since his junior footy, he has won seven flags - U14s with Mundulla, two state knockout competitions with Sacred Heart, an U18 with Glenelg where they won after the siren, two NEAFL flags in Brisbane's reserve side and an AFLX title.
