Former Crow Chris Knights could make his first AFL appearance of the season after missing more than three months with a serious knee injury.

Knights starred in Richmond’s 98-point VFL victory over Bendigo last weekend, racking up 29 possessions, six clearances and two goals from the midfield. It was his fourth state league game since returning from the injury.

Knights played 96 games and booted 68 goals with Adelaide from eight seasons at the Club, before making the move to Punt Road as an unrestricted free agent.

Ben Lennon, who last played at senior level in Round 13, was influential in Richmond’s big VFL win. Lennon finished with 25 possessions and a goal to be named second-best for the VFL Tigers.

Untried tall forward Liam McBean has kicked 20 goals from his past five VFL games, including five on the weekend, and could be in line for his first senior appearance on Saturday night at Adelaide Oval.

McBean’s performance maintained his position at the top of the VFL goalkicking table.

Richmond club champion Daniel Jackson is a chance return from a glute injury which has sidelined the tough midfielder for the past three games. The Tiger veteran will be monitored at training during the week, but may miss the trip to Adelaide.
