Neil Balme, one of Australian football’s most respected figures, joined the Adelaide Football Club Board in 2025.

A former Richmond premiership player, Balme’s career spans roles as player, coach and administrator across SANFL, VFL and AFL clubs.

He played 159 games for Richmond, winning flags in 1973 and 1974, before coaching Norwood to SANFL premierships in 1982 and 1984.

As an administrator, he played a role in Richmond winning three premierships, and previously helped guide Collingwood and Geelong to grand finals, with the Cats securing three flags between 2007 and 2011.
