Adelaide will play Brisbane on the Gold Coast in a revised practice game fixture announced by the AFL today.

The Crows were scheduled to play West Coast in Perth on the weekend of February 25-26 but will now play the Lions at Metricon Stadium on Friday, February 25 at 10.30am (ACDT).

They will then return to play Port Adelaide in the AFL’s official AAMI Community Series game at Richmond Oval on Saturday, March 5 at 3.40pm.

“As we know navigating a football season through a pandemic over the past two years has required a lot of flexibility and taught us to be prepared for things to change,” Adelaide Head of Football Adam Kelly said.

“We have been prepared to play anyone, anywhere so travelling to the Gold Coast to play the Lions in a practice game is a great opportunity for our team.

“It comes a week after our internal trial game which is the culmination of a long pre-season campaign so our players will be raring to go and excited by the chance to put their best foot forward for Round One.”
