Adelaide will unleash a debutant for its Round Seven clash with GWS on Saturday.

There will be just one change as the Crows look to return to the winners’ list after a one-point defeat to the Bulldogs in Round Six.

Eighteen-year-old Brooke Tonon will play her first AFLW game for the Crows against the Giants at Henson Park following a six-goal haul in the SANFLW a fortnight ago.

Ailish Considine has been omitted.

AFLW Senior Coach Matthew Clarke said Tonon had earned a call-up but the selection process was tough.

“We’ve had players in the SANFL playing really well, waiting for an opportunity,” Clarke said.

“We’ve also had players in the team doing a really good job who had a weekend last weekend where they weren’t quite at the level.

“We are going to create one opportunity so we’ll have a debutant in Brooke Tonon, which is really exciting.

“As I’ve highlighted, the depth of the squad and the pressure for spots is really extreme.

“There are a number of players sitting on that line out of the team who all have very strong cases to be on the other side of that line.”

Adelaide takes on GWS at Henson Park, NSW, on Saturday February 19, with first bounce at 2.40pm (ACDT)
