Adelaide will take a squad of 25 players to face Brisbane in a practice match on the Gold Coast on Friday morning.

The game at Metricon Stadium starts at 10.30am (ACDT), will be open to the public and consist of four 28-minute quarters as competition for a Round 1 berth heats up.

A total of 28 players were available at selection this week with a number unavailable due to injury and health and safety protocols.

But Members and supporters will get the chance to see draftees Josh Rachele and Jake Soligo in a Crows guernsey for the first time as well as All-Australian midfielder Matt Crouch who was sidelined by injury for the majority of last season.

Among the senior players not making the trip north will be captain Rory Sloane, recruit Jordan Dawson, Brodie Smith and Taylor Walker.

The full 25-man squad for the game against Brisbane will be announced at 4.30pm today.

Adelaide’s pre-season continues against Port Adelaide in an official community series game at Richmond Oval on Saturday, March 5 which will be the team’s final hit-out before hosting Fremantle at Adelaide Oval in Round 1 on Sunday, March 20.
