Adelaide will make one change ahead of its clash with Carlton at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.

Defender Tom Doedee comes out of the side, as he addresses some niggling injury issues.

Young backman Josh Worrell has been named in the team and will play his first game of 2022.

The tall defender, who was selected by the Crows at the 2019 AFL National Draft, made his debut in the Round 13 win against St Kilda last year.

Worrell’s inclusion is the only change, with forward Shane McAdam also included in the line-up after recovering from a corked thigh, which he sustained in last week’s loss to Sydney.

“As confirmed already today, Tom Doedee is being rested due to an accumulation of issues with his body that have lingered for a number of weeks and have held him back from being at his best,” Crows Head of Football Adam Kelly said.

“A freshen up will hopefully allow Tommy to finish the season strongly.

“This has led to an opportunity and one that has been granted to Josh Worrell who will come in for his second game at AFL level.

“Josh has worked hard on his game and his development has been obvious over the past 12 months.

“He has been a consistent performer across the SANFL season and has earned this opportunity.”

Brayden Cook, Elliott Himmelberg, Lachlan Sholl and Ben Davis have been named as emergencies, with one to be announced as the medical substitution one hour before the first bounce.

Adelaide takes on Carlton at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, with the first bounce at 7pm.
