Adelaide has named one change for its final game of 2022.

Wayne Milera returns to the side after being a late omission in Round 22 due to a minor back problem.

He replaces Shane McAdam who suffered a hamstring injury in the final quarter of Adelaide’s win over North Melbourne on Saturday.

“Unfortunately Shane has a hamstring strain so will miss the Showdown this week,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said on Tuesday.

“Shane has been playing really well and he only told me today that he’s never played in a Showdown and was really looking forward to it so it’s a big loss for us.”

Elliott Himmelberg, Lachlan Gollant, Lachlan Sholl and Ben Davis have been named as the emergencies, with one to be confirmed as the medical substitute one-hour before the game.

Saturday night’s game gets underway at 7pm at Adelaide Oval.

The match will be televised live on Channel 7 in Adelaide and nationwide on Fox Footy.

Adelaide’s SANFL side will also play a Showdown curtain raiser at 3.20pm with a chance to finish Minor Premiers for 2022.
