The Adelaide Crows Foundation has appointed a new Board Director, with experienced Aboriginal technology executive Brenz Saunders joining the Club’s charity arm effective immediately.

Saunders has widespread industry and governance experience across the education and technology sectors and has devoted much of his career to helping organisations navigate their commitment to reconciliation through involvement in numerous RAP committees.

The Adelaide Crows Foundation delivers a range of health and education programs which use the power of sport to engage and empower disadvantaged South Australian children and youth, helping them reach their full potential.

Adelaide Crows Foundation Chair Kate Thiele said Saunders brings a unique perspective and set of skills to the Board.

“Brenz’s experience and cultural knowledge will be vital in helping the Foundation continue to grow and pursue new projects,” Thiele said.

“Specifically, Brenz has a strong understanding of the challenges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people can face in regard to education, training and skills and this will help us ensure our First Nation programs continue to have a meaningful impact on the South Australian community.

“This is a vital role for the Foundation and a positive step forward in our reconciliation journey.”

The Adelaide Crows Foundation Board comprises Kate Thiele (Chair), Jessica Adamson, Matthew Clarke, Julie Cooper, Kate Ellis, Daniel Johnston, Chris Keane and Brenz Saunders.
