Key forward Darcy Fogarty faces a final fitness test at training on Wednesday before being cleared to return from a knee injury against Carlton on Thursday night.

Fogarty has missed the past two weeks after injuring his knee against Richmond in Round Two but has made steady progress in his recovery.

“Darcy completed everything we asked of him on Monday so assuming he gets through Wednesday without any issues then he will be available for selection,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.

“He had a week pretty much off his legs and then began a running program, firstly straight line then change of direction, and his final step was some hard leads and kicking which he did on Monday.

“He’s done everything we’ve asked of him and in the right amount of time.”

Defender Josh Worrell is expected to be available for selection in Round Six as he nears a return from a hamstring injury he suffered in the pre-season.

“Josh is fully training at the moment and will train all of next week and be available for selection,” Burgess said.

“He’s saying that he’s available for Thursday night, we’re the ones who are holding him back, so he’s feeling good and his body in a great spot.”

Draftee Hugh Bond is facing 4-6 weeks on the sidelines but may return sooner depending on how quickly the fracture in his knee heals.

“Hugh had a bizarre avulsion fracture of his lower leg and it’s quite an unusual one, he’s got another week or so off legs then we’ll get him running so we’re looking at 4-6 weeks depending on how everything progresses,” Burgess said.

Injury list as of Tuesday, April 11:

Darcy Fogarty (knee) test
Josh Worrell (hamstring) 1 week
Hugh Bond (knee) 4-6 weeks
