Adelaide has unveiled a unique limited-edition guernsey which will be worn for the historic opening game of Gather Round against Carlton at Adelaide Oval on Thursday night.

The special event guernsey showcases a heritage version of the Crows logo which respects and honours the Club’s people and achievements.

The distinctive design will be worn for the sold-out clash against the Blues which is the first of nine games in the highly anticipated festival of footy in Adelaide this weekend (April 13-16).

Crows members and supporters have the chance to own a piece of history with replica guernseys now on sale through CROWMania.

They will also be available to purchase at Adelaide Oval at Thursday night’s match and at the AFL’s Footy Festival at Elder Park from Thursday until Sunday.

Crows CEO Tim Silvers said the Club wanted to celebrate Gather Round with a unique and meaningful piece of memorabilia for members and fans.

“This week is about celebrating everything that makes our game so great, it will be a round of footy like never before and we thought it was fitting to celebrate that with a special guernsey,” Silvers said.

“The design has been adapted from a traditional version of the Club’s logo, which we know is very popular among our supporters.

“We also see it as a nod to our past with a contemporary and modern look that is instantly recognisable as representing the Crows.”

Adelaide will host an Open Training session at Adelaide University Oval (Park 12, Memorial Drive) on Wednesday at 10am ahead of Thursday night’s clash. Crows players will also make an appearance at the AFL’s Footy Festival at Elder Park on Thursday and Friday.
