Adelaide forward Luke Pedlar has been rewarded for his strong form in 2023 with a Round 16 Rising Star nomination.

Pedlar played a key role in the Crows’ 66-point win over North Melbourne on Saturday afternoon, booting two goals and collecting 11 disposals.

The Rising Star nomination caps a breakout year for the 21-year-old South Australian.

He has featured in all but one game this season and kicked 19 majors at an impressive average of 1.4 per game.

Pedlar has also featured around stoppages in recent weeks and has recorded an above average 1.5 clearances to go with his 11.9 disposals per game.

Taken with pick No.11 in the 2020 draft, Pedlar was still eligible to claim a Rising Star nomination given he turned 21 after January 1 and had played just five AFL games prior to the 2023 season.
