Crows midfielder Hannah Munyard has been ruled out of Round One selection after straining her hip.

Munyard first injured her hip during the pre-season and has participated in modified training over the last couple of weeks, however suffered a setback at training last week.

Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said Munyard had been progressing well with her recovery, however the reoccurrence will set her back a week or two .

“Hannah injured her hip a couple of weeks ago which meant she missed our two pre-season matches,” Harper said.

“She was tracking well however strained her hip again at training last week which will see her sit out Round One.”

Niamh Kelly, who suffered a head knock in the pre-season match against Geelong and entered the concussion protocols, is expected to be available to take on Port Adelaide.

“Niamh was involved in a contest in the practice match against Geelong that resulted in her being concussed, she is tracking well, and we expect her to available for Round One selection,” Harper said.

Vice captain Sarah Allan is continuing her recovery from a hamstring injury which is expected to sideline her for at least eight weeks.
