Adelaide’s AFLW pre-season camp in Cairns has finished on a high with forward Eloise Jones signing a three-year contract extension.

The two-time premiership player has extended her stay at West Lakes until at least the end of 2027 after putting pen to paper on a new deal.

Jones transitioned from the wing to the forward line last season in a move that led to her kicking a career-high 18 goals, including bags of four against GWS and Brisbane.

A member of the Crows’ leadership group since 2021, the 25-year-old said she was thrilled to sign on.

“I’m really excited to get a couple more years, I love the footy club so for me it was a no-brainer to sign for a little bit longer,” Jones said.

“To have the belief of the players and staff was really important and I feel really at home here.

“I think we have a great group at the moment, we have a lot of young, raw talent as well, so I think our next couple of years will be really exciting.”

Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said Jones was an important part of the Club’s future.

“Eloise is an integral member of our team and we are really pleased to have her recommit to the Club,” Harper said.

“She already has an impressive football resume at just 25, and we believe her best football is still ahead of her which is exciting.

“Her versatility to play on the wing as well as hit the scoreboard as a forward has been really valuable for us and we are looking forward to that continuing.”
