Adelaide veteran Taylor Walker is expecting both Riley Thilthorpe and Darcy Fogarty to join him in the Crows’ forward line for Saturday’s clash against Carlton.

Fogarty missed the trip west last week with a shoulder injury, while Thilthorpe suffered a dislocated finger in the loss to the Dockers, but played out the match.

Speaking to Roo, Ditts and Loz on Triple M Adelaide Breakfast, Walker said the duo were tracking well in their bids to face the Blues this Saturday.

“He’s done a few (finger dislocations) so far this season, it actually popped, so it dislocated and cut his skin, but he’ll be alright the big fella,” Walker said.

“He’s probably been our best player so far this season, so hopefully we’ll have him out there this week.

“(Fog) reckons he’ll be right to go. Those sore shoulders are really tough to play with, even things like laughing are difficult, you just need a bit of time with those ones, and once you get to a certain point the recovery is very quick.”

The Crows suffered their third loss of the season at Optus Stadium on Friday night, as a slow start saw them trail at every change and finish with an 18-point deficit.

However, one positive from the night was the performance of defender Josh Worrell, who impressed with 20 disposals and nine intercept possessions.

“(Josh Worrell) was probably our best player on Friday night, he’s been unbelievable,” Walker said.

“His attitude to compete is the best we’ve got, he hates losing, he’s grown so much since he got here which has been great to see.

“Him and Paigey (Worrell’s partner) are the lifeblood of our footy Club, they are little firecrackers and you love being around them, Ellie and I both love them.”

A bounce-back win against the Blues this Saturday is the focus for Adelaide, as it looks to stay positive in the win-loss ledger.

Walker said the Crows welcomed the challenge of facing an in-form Carlton side at Adelaide Oval.

“They are going to be hard to beat, especially after they had a win against Geelong on Sunday,” Walker said.

“Their midfield is going really well, so it’ll be a good test for our mids, who will be keen to bounce back from the weekend.

“Hopefully we can kick a winning score, and get a win against Carlton.”

Adelaide faces Carlton at Adelaide Oval this Saturday, with the first bounce at 3.45pm (ACST).
