Adelaide has made one change for its blockbuster match against Hawthorn in Tasmania on Friday night.

Small forward Lachlan Murphy has been recalled and will play his first game since Round Four.

Crows Head of Football Adam Kelly said Murphy’s attitude while lining up with the Crows’ SANFL side had been second-to-none, and his on-field State League form had also been solid.

“Throughout his career, Murph has been a great example to his teammates with regard to his reliability when it comes to playing his role for the team,” Kelly said.

“To that end, he has had a significant influence as a leader on the team-first approach of our playing group.

“This is something that does not waver with Murph, regardless of whether he is playing at the AFL level or SANFL level.”

“We love his commitment to the contest and desperation to get after the opposition.”

Midfielder James Peatling will miss the match due to suspension.

The Crows will name their substitute one hour before the game.

Chris Burgess, Sid Draper and Hugh Bond have been named as the emergencies.

Adelaide faces Hawthorn at UTAS Stadium on Friday at 7.10pm (ACST).

The match will be broadcast live on Channel 7 Adelaide, Fox Footy and Kayo.
