Adelaide has added three players to its squad for its Round 17 clash against Melbourne at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.
Forward Chris Burgess, defender Hugh Bond, and midfielder/forward Zac Taylor come into the squad.
The three inclusions join Alex Neal-Bullen, Josh Rachele, Lachlan Murphy, Brodie Smith, and Sam Berry on the extended bench.
As revealed earlier on Thursday, Senior Coach Matthew Nicks said he would not rush the return of Nick Murray to the AFL side, with the defender to feature with the Crows’ SANFL side for a third-straight week.
“There will be no rush around Nick Murray coming back in at an AFL level until he feels and we feel confident that he’s ready for the speed of the game,” Nicks told the media on Thursday.
“When we talk about risk v reward, we won’t be taking the risk to fast-track that - it won’t be this week, but it may be the week after, depending on how he goes. He’ll be one we don’t put a timeframe on, we’ll just continue to work through it.”
The Crows will name their final team of 23 on Friday at 4.30pm (ACST).
Adelaide faces Melbourne at Adelaide Oval this Sunday at 2.45pm.
The side will don its First Nations guernsey, designed by former Crow Graham Johncock, in support of NAIDOC Week.
